Topic area of the BayernHistoryApp
BayernHistory
Local and regional history of Bavaria
About this topic area
BayernHistory is the central topic area of the app. Here Bavaria's local and regional history is opened up — location-based, participatory and in cooperation with the people on the ground.
Topics such as inns and breweries, churches and monasteries, railway stations and rail history, art, music and crafts, notable people, dialects, landscape and many more — the range spans from large thematic fields to specific local collections.
Special Topics and Specialised Areas
Within BayernHistory there are independent collections built up with partners. Four categories are presented here; further topics can be found in the list at the end of the section.
Members of the Bavarian State Parliament
We present the members of the Bavarian State Parliament — portrait, biography, and constituency offices. In cooperation with the Bavarian State Parliament, for those who want to know more about who represents their region.
Das Labyrinth — 100 Years of Hitler's Fortress Detention
Complete documentation and digital companion to the exhibition „Das Labyrinth — 100 Years of Hitler's Fortress Detention". A hybrid format combining a physical exhibition with digital accompaniment through the BayernHistoryApp — exhibition guide, content, and contextual depth, permanently accessible.
Forestry Office Tours
In cooperation with the Office for Food, Agriculture and Forestry (AELF) Weilheim and the AELF Landau a. d. Isar-Pfarrkirchen, forest walks emerge on topics such as forest transformation, climate protection, and regional landscape stewardship.
