President of the Bavarian State Parliament Ilse Aigner becomes patron of the BayernHistoryApp

Ilse Aigner, President of the Bavarian State Parliament, has taken over the patronage of the BayernHistoryApp. The free digital platform for Bavarian local history now comprises eight topic areas with more than 1,800 entries. It is run by the association dieKunstBauStelle e. V. from Landsberg am Lech and has been available for iOS and Android since 1 May 2023.

New areas in preparation

  • Talking Dialect Atlas of Bavaria – in cooperation with the Bavarian State Library; the work of Prof. Werner König; spoken dialects made audible
  • Werkstatt Bayern – a platform for the stories of people from the performing arts, fine arts and craftsmanship; complemented by the biographies of the members of the Bavarian State Parliament. Working title of the funding project: “Digital Stage for the History of Music, Art and Theatre in Bavaria”.
  • Tell Me a Story – roll-out of the prototype developed in dementia care to further municipalities

The BayernHistoryApp is a free platform for digital local history in Bavaria. It is run by the association dieKunstBauStelle e. V. in Landsberg am Lech. Eight topic areas offer entries on local history, NS memorial sites, Jewish life, the performing arts, audio walks, industrial history, culinary tradition and participatory storytelling.
