Participate as a municipality

Build a local focus area for your municipality – with workshops and editorial guidance.

The process in four steps

  1. Initial conversation with the project lead — clarification of the starting position, possibilities and expectations.
  2. Topic development with local actors — topics are developed by local chroniclers, local historians, heritage officers, heritage societies and other local actors. Optionally, a topic workshop with residents can be held.
  3. Building a local editorial team — training and guidance for contributors in creating and maintaining content.
  4. Publication and gradual expansion — first content goes online, further topics and entries follow continuously.

Requirements

The cooperation is covered by a one-time financial contribution. This includes setup, editorial onboarding and ongoing guidance. Depending on the size of the municipality and the number of planned entries, we provide an individual offer and advise on implementation. As recurring costs are typically challenging for municipalities, these are covered permanently by the one-time payment.
